Speeches / Donating to a church speech [3]
Thank you very much for your feedback. This is the speech I wrote, it's a little short because I didn't want to take a lot of their time.
Good morning,
I want to thank you for your generous gift that made my education attainable. Thank you for investing in my future and for seeing the potential. Through your support and the support of my family, I have accomplished much of what I never thought possible. I am proud to say I had worked hard to be where I am, but I certainly could not have done it if it were not for your generosity. I have finished my third year of biology and I am now doing an internship with "name of the company I work for" as "my position title". This goes to show how perseverance is the key to success. I pledged to donate this nominal amount because I believe that anyone can do the same as me with the help of the church. This is the power of give and take, love and understanding of each other. Thank you.
I would appreciate any feedback on my speech.
Thanks again!
