Writing Feedback / Good Boss, Bad Boss: Compare/Contrast Essay [27]

Before, I find it also hard to proofread my own work and found nothing wrong about it. Later on, I have to read more informational books about writing, grammars, pronunciations and punctuations in order for me to practice and improve my work.

It would be a great help after you proofread your own work, to have it proofread with someone else or to some people you know and let them check if there is something wrong about your work.

I hope it will help you by this advise.

Student Talk / How to improve English writing? Learning through reading. [130]

It would be nicer if you practice English and put it into action rather than think of it. If not by writing then there is also another way by means of interacting with other people.

It can be of great help to improve your English and learn how people manage to spoke it up. In that way, you are also applying one of the most important skill in communication and of learning -- listening.

It really needs application in order for you to learn as well as to improve.

Student Talk / How to improve English writing? Learning through reading. [130]

Speaking for me, I constantly look up words which I don't understand in my English dictionary. I think it helps me a lot to instantly look them up and not learn them in one batch. I also use the software from grammarsoftware.com which helps me to find and correct harder to spot errors, but I didn't have time yet to use all features.

What I've learnt is, if you want to improve your English writing, you have to actually write English, be it full of errors or not. You have to write every day and then slowly proofread the text you wrote in order to understand what errors you made.

Undergraduate / Family influence - violence essay [14]

It doesn't matter to me if your essay is properly edited or what. The time when I read it, the content of your essay really has a meaning and a sense which drives your readers to read more to the content.

It was a very nice essay. I thought the ending would end up you being the problematic and needing one's advice on how to compete against your brother.

But the result turn out oppositely.
Great work!

Writing Feedback / Not eveything that is learned is contained in the books [20]

"Not everything that is learned is contained in the books"

If you say not everything, meaning, there is still a part of it. Though not all. Still, we should thank those books for providing us such information during our school days. Way back 5-20 years ago or so on. Whether it is fictional or informational books, it can also help us a lot.

Learning facts and what reality lies ahead to our wildest imaginations which allow us to develop our creativeness, all of those are due to the books that we read all day long.

But reading is not enough, encounter learning through experience is the best way to gain knowledge aside from books. It can also enhance a person's personality as well.

So far, you've got an idea about what your essay suppose to be is but you must also put into consideration that titles must co-relate with your content or vice-versa.

Anyway, this is my first time to post a reply. I just recently created an account. Hope I can also learn more here.

Thanks!
