Graduate / SOP; After scrutinizing my interests, I have decided to pursue Masters in Planning [2]

THIS IS MY STATEMENT OF PURPOSE I WANTED TO ASK YOU GUYS TO CHECK THIS FOR ME PLEASE
After scrutinizing my interests, I have decided to pursue Masters in Planning, in my field of interest Urban Planning and Design. My interest in Architecture has its spark from my early schooling. When I was in school I was fascinated with Arts and crafts and there after, I used to experiment and create various decorative items using cardboard and other waste materials. Along the way, however, I realized my interests and passion towards architecture.
I have successfully completed my academic milestones of education with good percentile and records. The undergraduate program at Acharya Nangarjuna University provided me with a strong foundation of Architecture and exposed me to various fields of it. I have always been interested in Design and Planning which eventually led to an inclination towards choosing Urban Design and Planning as my specialized subjects during practical training (internship). I rate the five years of my study at the Architecture College as the best years of my life as I spent a lot of time in the Studio learning various techniques in modern drawings and as well, enhanced my knowledge in several areas of Architecture. The Building Form has been a game changer and the modern urban design awestruck me. My emphasis remained on the built-form that represented the theme of the subject and the required spaces were closely knit into this form.
I have delivered many presentations and have also participated in numerous workshops organized by our college. I have taken a lead role in many events in an out of college and I was also part of the ZONAL National Association of Students of Architecture convention, hosted by our college in the year 2011. Travelling and Visiting new places during Industrial Tours and practical workshops instilled special interest in me for Urban Design both in historical and present context.
As a part of the curriculum during my final year of Course Study, I have done my internship with Katakam & Associates, a well renowned architecture firm in Hyderabad. This practical work experience has given me an opportunity to be associated in residential, hospital projects and to exhibit my abilities that have been acquired through my academic period. It also furnished me with a platform to enrich and broaden my keen with transition to a more practical environment.
Even though, my period at Acharya Nagarjuna University have provided me with a strong foundation in my field, a masters degree program is necessary to increase my knowledge and also to shape my ambitions into result oriented and achievable goals.
Being a prospective student for new challenging ideas, I wish to earn a Graduate Program in your University, which will provide me an opportunity to enable further honing of my technical and analytical skills acquired thus far. The department website revealed a strong faculty involved in extensive research and has strengthened my resolution to study at your university. I am aware of the commitment & perseverance required for research and believe that my aptitude & motivation will see me get through the challenge. I am also confident that given an opportunity, I can contribute to the ongoing work in your graduate program in a productive manner. I expect opportunities aplenty right now and in all future; thus I would like to pursue my further studies in USA to expand my ken.
