To change the world, even just a little has always been a desire of mine. Most kids my age let themselves be bothered by texts, relationships, realty TV, the Kardahsians... For me it was different. For me it was injustice and suffering that got to my core, that enraged me. It was not until I discovered my passion for science and engineering that I realized that maybe I could do something about it.
I realized that my 4 years of self-teaching in programing and electronics would not be enough. I plan on attaining a masters in Computer Science and a minor in Electrical Engineering. As for my career, I'd like to use my skills to create revolutionary software and electronic systems. My experience with programing my own artificial intelligence assistant software has opened up my mind to the possibilities; personal robotic assistants, automated homes and so much more. I hope to work with companies like IBM and Microsoft and institutes like MIT to assist in the creation of self-aware artificial intelligence software, helping our species cross the bridge from mere mortals to, in a way, gods. I'd also like to contribute to space exploration, working on software for our rockets and even implementing such artificial intelligence to assist in future missions.
Suffering is natural, but that does not mean we should stand by idly. Both of these fields could greatly benefit our species as a whole and I wish to be a part of them. Education is the first step.
