My essay is not done yet by I need help ASAP. My assignment is to write an analysis essay on a quote in the crucible by Proctor, you can find it if you type The Crucible : A play in four acts on page 110. Please help me I really need it. Thanks.

The play The Crucible by Arthur Miller was written about the Salem witch trials and the Red Scare. The author uses personification, diction, and metaphors to help make the theme between Abigail and John Proctor clear. He helps point out the lies that causes Proctor to feel shame and guilt for his adultery. Proctor definitely learns from his mistakes.

Arthur Miller introduces personification to help provide the reader with a sense of the shame and guilt that John Proctor feels because of his adultery. The word "lust" shows that there was some type of wrong doing, which was because John Proctor knows that he was doing wrong when he was with Abigail and know he feels guilty because of it.

In the play, Miller introduces diction to show the tone and voice of John Proctors shame. Proctor uses the word "whore" to refer to Abigail because she was his mistress and he is ashamed of it.

Miller uses metaphors to compare to unlikely words that Proctor mentions. Proctor uses the word "sweat" to compare with the word "promise" referring to his lust to show that what he did was wrong and should not have happened.

Arthur Miller uses many strategies to help the reader understand the meaning of the play and the shame John Proctor feels about committing adultery.

Hi Briana, first I want to say that you have some great topic sentences in what you wrote above. For example:

Arthur Miller introduces personification to help provide...

But your paragraphs are too short. For every one of those good topic sentences, you should continue the paragraph by giving an example or a quotation to prove your point. Then add another sentence to reflect on what you just said and comment on what it means, its implications, or to add something extra.

That way, each paragraph will be full and meaningful.

As for the analysis of a quotation, please tell us what the quotation is and what you think about it. I can't seem to access page 110.

Please note that no one can complete the work for you on this site, but that we should instead have some discussion about it so that you can decide for yourself what to write. Tell us about the quote.

:-)
