Learnings from failure and the new beginning
There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve. It is the fear of failure.
Failure are the finger posts on the road to achievements.
I had heard these sayings from my elders, but I realised what they really mean during my preparation for a Gold medal in Long jump.
A great applause shocked me along with a thunderous announcement. Rohit k Tiwari. This was a like a dream come true, my whole body was trebling and I was standing like a dead pillar.
Before 4 years,
I had always been passionate about winning a gold medal in long jump competition at inter house level in the school from grade 6th onwards. When I first participated in long jump competition representing my house, I got failure but what I hadn't lost was my hope to win a gold medal in long jump because I was a young child who was just focused on a single thing which he has to achieve. Next year I participated again but what I received was again a big failure, it continued for two years.
The feeling I had these days was heart breaking and wistful. I was unable to sleep for many days. One thing that was persistent was my hope.
One day when I was sitting alone and just thinking about the success I desired was not only my wish but a passion which needed perseverance, determination, dedication and my hard work.
I think failures are the step towards success, nothing else. Failure is a teacher of the mistakes you commit during the journey towards success. Failure actually teaches us how important those mistakes are which we commit when we proceed towards our path.
I regretted even my mind was occupied with negative thoughts. My hope was the only which was pricking me not to give up. Then came the year when my school organized an Inter School Athletic Meet where more than 30 schools of the city came to participate. I thought of my wish of securing a gold medal in Long jump but this time the thought was not only related to winning a medal but also to get participation as my Physical Education teachers didn't want me to participate.
I remember that moment even today as I don't know for how many times I requested my teachers to allow me to participate but every time it was a denial from them but a miracle happened, may be it was my positive thinking that created an opportunity for me as a participant fall sick. Though I was a second choice but I decided that I am not going to prove my teachers decision wrong.
The hope I had in me gave me the strength to take this chance and win. I did all my best and proved that if we have desire to do something we need to give in our best efforts.
The lessons I learnt from the failures I experienced over a period of time gave me inspiration, motivation that I actually needed. I not only created history for myself but also got a gold medal for my school. I have built back the confidence and magic in me to achieve great heights.
Now when I ponder on this I realize failure actually gave me confidence to regain my power, energy, motivation and strength to win and get what I desired. According to me, failure taught me that only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.
What I have learnt from failure? The only real failure in life is not to be true to the best one knows. Failure is like a seed which will grow in time if we'll nurture it with the essentials but we can't then again we need to start it from the beginning It's like a game that you have to win but if you can't then you again have to start scratch.
Failure is not a person but an event that has to be tackled by us to get success. People may think of failure in different aspects but what I know is that failure inspires us, motivates us and guides us towards the path of success.
Failure is like a teacher who rectifies our mistakes which we commit in order to be successful.
The fruit I got after the bitter attempt of failure ensured my character building. I followed the same ways which failure showed me. I wanted to become unique and happy to be unique. Now I have the potential to convert my visions into reality.
A person can only be known great when he keep the fear with himself and share his courage with others that person can be called as a true leader.
