Scholarship / Why proposed course and institution? I put my attention to the University of Sydney (USYD) and UNSW [2]
I choose Australia to take my master degree it is because Australia and Indonesia have similarities, economic criteria, and challenges it is dominated by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), roughly over 95%, and only a limited number of SMEs in both countries sell their goods and services overseas. Both also have one-stop shopping licensing for Businesses in to tackle the issue, and there is OSS and PTSP in Indonesia and ABLIS and Business.gov in Australia. However, the implementation and path are different. While Australia has improved to deliver a seamless national economy, Indonesia' is still implementing the easiness of licensing for business. While Australia evaluates the program yearly to keep the program on the right track and generated the expected outcome, in Indonesia cooperation and bureaucracy still become a challenge. Based on this issue, comprehensive and strategic actions with very disciplined M&E by the government are really necessary. I take a Master of Public Policy (MPP) to sharpen my Skill in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) as a staff of the government under the Ministry of Trade and I put my attention to two universities there is the University of Sydney (USYD) and UNSW. In USYD I will take MPP economic specialization, and in this field, I will conduct lots of economic analytical practice and also the subject of International trade talking about analysis of the effects of a policy towards International trade which is related to my job as a Trade analyst. at the UNSW I will learn about what influences the policy and regulatory instruments and how it is implemented and this allow me to plan a robust policy. those mentioned programs from each university will strengthen my analytical and evaluation skill and enable me to give more contributions to the institution to achieve its goal to develop SMEs and to make trading circulation effective Domestically and Internationally for existing and future businesses.
