Writing Feedback / Nowadays, a growing number of people with health problems are trying alternative medicines and treat [2]
In the contemporary world, more and more people are seeking the alternative medicines and other treatments rather than having their health checked at medical facilities. It is difficult to assess whether this development might bring in positive or negative effects. This essay would equally analyze both aspects of this problem.
Admittedly, chemist's or drug sellers are considered a go-to method of many people who want to cure their sickness on their own. First, cost-effectiveness and efficiency are two overriding factors impacting on consumers' selection. This makes customers refer drug stores as a better choice rather than queueing in the hospitals to wait for their turn. Second, thanks to the advances in technology in field of medicine and the removal of tariff barriers, an abundance of world-renown medicine brands with a more affordable price has been introduced to resolve patients' problems. This, inadvertently, facilitates chemist to sell and recommend drugs based on customers' preferences without prescription.
Having said that, this development potentially triggers adverse effects directly to patients' health. Since consumers would not be aware of the mechanism regarding how drug interacts with their disease and its side effects. This would be a potential threat because severe symptoms may likely to happen for inaccurate uptake. Additionally, people usually underestimate their severity of their sickness, thereby going for self-treatment without assistance from professionals such as doctors who are specialized in medicals. As a result, they spend much more time and budget having their body recovered in the medical facilities.
All thing considered, trying to find alternatives to resolve sickness is a preference of many people. However, if the disease gets worse, many people would be in favor of seeking support from doctors.
