In general, the process accounts for a total of 7 steps which can be separated into 3 main groups: collecting, recycling and manufacturing, and selling.
Firstly, the used cans are collected from the bins and transferred to the recycling manufacturer by truck. In the next steps, these cans are put into the machine so that the used cans are cleaned and sorted to ensure the next phase, after cleaning and sorting, these cans are shredded and compressed into many tiny pieces and crushed in the special machine to ensure a prospect size. In the third step, the small pieces from the cans are heated, melted in high temperatures, and turned into liquid, then liquid aluminum is rolled about 2.5 to 6 mm thick and molded into the sheets, these sheets are used to produce beverage cans. Finally, the complete cans can be consumed and about 74% are recycled after using them in the UK.
