The line chart illustrates how much money was spent on books in four different countries examined from 1995 to 2005.
Overall, there was an upward trend in the amount of money spent on books in Germany, France, Italy and Australia, with Germany witnessing the most gradual increase throughout the timescales given.
Evidently, the expenditure on books in Germany started at 80 million dollars, after which it witnessed a small change before going up to the highest in 2005. Meanwhile, Australia spent roughly 30 million dollars in 1995 which it observed an ever-increasing trend to surpass the figure for France in the final year of the surveyed period.
Approximately 60 million dollars was seen in the figure for France, with a growth to nearly 80 million dollars in 2005. Followed by the budget for books in France, the figure for Italy began at around 50 million dollars and experienced a slight fluctuation to grow up, making it the lest common in the year 2005.
