Undergraduate / Empowering others and helping - UGRAD sop [3]

Hello, I wanna know if there anything I need to change in order to apply and response the prompt, thank you
*Essay 1: The Global UGRAD Program is for young leaders committed to serving their home communities. In the space below, please describe why you would be an excellent candidate for the Global UGRAD Program.*

I realized how challenging university life can be for new students, so I wanted to make a difference. As a leader of a student support group, I took the mission of helping first-year students to navigate the complex world of the academic journey. The main objective of our group is to provide comprehensive support, from sharing study resources to offering mentorship in complicated subjects.
This journey is not easy. Many new students struggle with academic pressure, language barriers and the overwhelming transition into university. I recognize that providing resources alone is not enough. Students need genuine encouragement and practical support. To address these challenges, I have developed a multifaceted approach by creating study groups, organizing tutoring sessions, and, most importantly, offering emotional support. For instance, when a friend felt overwhelmed by his upcoming exams, convinced that he would fail, I reminded him of his potential and worked with him to rebuild his confidence.
Recognizing the limited access to language resources in our country, I volunteer as a teacher in an English language program. I am part of a free tutoring initiative to help high school students improve their English skills. This is not just about language learning; it's about opening doors of opportunity for students who could not afford expensive language academies just like I experienced when I was a child. That experience shaped my understanding of how financial barriers can limit opportunities and inspired me to contribute to programs that make education accessible for everyone.
The Global UGRAD Program represents the next step in my journey of community service and leadership. I see this opportunity as a chance to expand my perspective, learn innovative approaches to community support, and bring back international insight to my home community. The program aligns perfectly with my passion for empowering others and creating meaningful change.
Inspired by my mother's quotes that "Life is for the intrepid," I aspire to continue breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for others. The UGRAD Program would be a transformative platform to develop the skills, network, and global understanding needed to make an even greater impact. I dream of creating more comprehensive support systems, bridging cultural divides, and inspiring young people to overcome their challenges with determination and hope.
