Undergraduate / "a boy named Clarel" - What do you guys think of my limerick? [2]

This is for the NYU Common Application Supplement

Write a haiku, limerick, or short (eight lines or less) poem that best represents you.

There once was a boy named Clarel,
who lived his life trapped in a shell.
But his faith in his dreams
were like ear piercing screams
that shattered the bonds of his hell (or cell)

I made this up in like 15 minutes so it might not be that good, but what do you guys think?
