The topic for my essay is gender roles in Macbeth
This is my current thesis:
Macbeth and Lady Macbeth have misconstrued view of the male and female gender roles, with Macbeth attempting to be the stereotypical man of the family and Lady Macbeth also trying to fulfil roles of the male gender. This conflict of gender roles eventually leads to their demise both as individuals and as a couple.

Please help me shorten this into one sentence. Critique is also welcome :)
