Undergraduate / Find X. Many perspectives and different routes -Essay topic for university of chicago [4]

Hey everyone! I am writing this essay on the U of C's topic Find X. LEt me know what you think...it's still a rough draft.

Finding "X" is the means to finding oneself; it involves a introspective journey through the hardships and positive moments of one's life. Though "X" can appear as a challenge we must take into account our life struggles that will prevail ."X" is the unknown, the variable with many solutions, and the 24th letter in the English alphabet. It may stand alone at times, but it becomes stronger because "X" recognizes the bigger picture of life.

The Unknown is everything we think about and dream of knowing, it is "X." "X" is waking up every morning unaware of what the day will behold, but is ready to experience new ideas. Becoming a young adult is a scary thought to me. It required me to consider my career goals and future plans. As I prepare myself for the college application process, there is always the question of "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Many of my peers claim that they have their lives planned out, only do they know that "X" is unexpected. "X" represents the things that one may desire to accomplish in life, however, must be experienced to discover the mysteries. I consider what I would be most successful at and I reflect on what I would be most happy doing--it is a process. I honestly admit that I am afraid of "X" and its aspects of the unknown because one never knows until one gets there. I have to discover and figure it out myself, putting my best foot forward and keeping my head held high. Whatever the unknown is, is anonymous. Therefore, I believe that it is life. Life is sometimes complicated in relations of "X;" it is the driving force that allows oneself to believe the impossible and think the unthinkable.

There are many perspectives and different routes one can take to arrive at her final destination. "X" says that there are no limitations in life. My equation: (insert equation here). This equation has a set focus that can journey as far as "X" would go--the moon is the limit. Even though no two people are alike, sometimes they can reach similar goals because of "X". What I have learned is that people can start out at diverse points and reach the same destinations of ambition and excellence.
