Writing Feedback / Looking for alternatives. 6-paragraph cause & effect essay [2]

Looking for alternatives
Oil production in the United states peaked in 1970. when will it peak world wide who knows maybe tomorrow, maybe next week, maybe next year. But it will peak some day and we need to be ready. One thing it depends on is How much people are willing to pay for it. If people are willing to pay $10 a gallon then we may have oil for a long time. But if people are not willing to pay $10 a gallon we might want to start looking for alternatives.

Oil reserves are being depleted around the world. As demand gos up, the price gos up so we get Rising Gas Prices. and Rising gas prices are causing most people to drive less. Or causing People to looking for alternatives to high gas prices.

The oil reserves are being depleted. Yes they are as country's like china can afford cars and start to buy more are more of then the demand for gas gos up. We be finding more all the time but According to John W. Schoen Senior Producer for MSNBC

"There is lots of oil out there," said Karl Kurz, vice president of marketing and minerals for Anadarko Petroleum. "But it's a finite resource; we can't get around that. Eventually, you're going to get to the point where there's not any more to find."(Schoen).

What happen when demand gos up, the price gos up so we get Rising Gas Prices. Not just unleaded gas at the pump but natural gas to. But they don't just go up they can come back down too. They fluctuate just when prices where getting close to $3.00 dollars a gallon, they started coming back down to around $2.20 a gallon. And seem to have leveled out. At least for now.

Rising gas prices are causing most people to drive less. They are running there air conditioning and heating less the more gas prices go up. People are making less trips to the store, only driving to where they have to. They are Going on sorter vacations. Buying cars that get better gas mileage or even buying hybrids.

People are looking for alternatives to higher gas prices. From Solar and wind to Hydrogen. People are even trying to make power out of cow and pig manure. Now solar and wind wont work to power your car. But Hydrogen will, In fact if you have a Fuel injected engine. In fact it's not that hard to convert it to run on hydrogen.

People are not willing to pay $10 a gallon. we should start looking for alternatives. Using wind, solar and other renewable energy to make power. The use that power to make Hydrogen that can be used to run our cars on. You will then have water coming out of your exhaust pipe, instead of poison gas.

Writing Feedback / 8-paragraph compare & contrast essay [5]

Ok I'm starting on me 2nd essay. I hope i did better. i still need to add some Quotes. But i was hoping to get this part prof read, If thats ok.

It's compare & contrast essay and it has to be 8 paragraphs.
In MLA stile and double spaces between lines.

Internal Combustion or Fuel Cells Running Electric Motors
Hydrogen and how to use it to run our cars. Right now our cars run on gas so how can we convert to Hydrogen. The first problem being distribution and production of hydrogen so we can buy it at the pump. Witch can be accomplished buy using solar or wind to make power and use it to make hydrogen, can also use the power to supply our homes too. Then building pipe lines to distribute it.

Now how to run our cars with it. One perfect solution it hydrogen fuel cells running electric motors; Another perfect solution is hydrogen internal combustion engines; On the basis of cost, Performance, and implementing, The hydrogen internal combustion engine is the preferable solution.

Hydrogen fuel cells running electric motors are not vary cost effective. First off you cant just convert your car to use fuel cells running electric motors you have to buy an whole new car. Who can afford to buy an whole new car just to convert to hydrogen.

In comparison internal combustion engines that are converted to run on hydrogen are cost effective. Fuel injection engines can run on hydrogen just the way they are, all you need is a new gas tank. Now they are a lot more efficient

Now when it comes Performance Hydrogen fuel cells running electric motors are not that great in terms of torque. Have you ever seen an electric car try to make it up a steep hill. it don't make it vary far does it. It will get part way and just site there, thats lack of torque. Electric motors don't have much torque. Thats why you don't have electric motors in trucks. they need to pull heavy load, And electric motor just cant do the job.

On the other hand when it comes to Performance of Hydrogen internal combustion Engines they are just as good as one that runs on gas. Any thing a gas powered internal combustion engine can do a hydrogen powered engine can do. Ford motor company is working on a Hydrogen internal combustion engine that is more efficient fan the gas powered internal combustion engine.

When it comes implementing Hydrogen fuel cells running electric motors there is still a lot of work to be done. First off to get every one using them every one would have to buy new cars. You cant easily convert your internal combustion engine to Fuel cell running electric motors. You would have to remove the engine, drive shaft and axles so you can put in the electric motors, One for each drive wheel.

Hydrogen internal combustion engines on the other hand are not that hard to implement. You wont have to buy a new car as long as your can has a fuel injected engine it can just be converted to run on hydrogen. In fact they can run on more then one fuel, According to Richard Truett

The supercharged V-10 engine has what Ford calls a tri-flex fueling system that enables the engine to run on hydrogen, E85 ethanol or gasoline. Cruising range between fill-ups is 500 miles. The driver can change fuel sources by using a switch on the instrument panel. (Truett 22)

Now that we have looked over hydrogen in internal combustion engine and in fuel cells running electric motors. And on the basis of cost, Performance, and implementation, The hydrogen internal combustion engine is the preferable solution. Thanks for listening

Thanks for all the help.

Ok been working on it. Hows it look?

In comparison internal combustion engines that are converted to run on hydrogen are cost effective. Fuel injection engines can run on hydrogen just the way they are, all you need is a new gas tank. Of course if you adjust the fuel metering system it will be allot more efficient.

Now when it comes to performance hydrogen fuel cells running electric motors they are not that great in terms of torque. Have you ever seen an electric car try to make it up a steep hill. It not going make it vary far. It will get part way up the hill and just site there, thats from lack of torque. Electric motors just don't have much torque.
