Essays / Disclaimers in an essay [2]
i am currently writing an essay with the thesis "Singing in the Rain provides comical versions of some of the real problems involved in the film industries transition from silent movies to talkies." what i will be doing a lot is commenting on scenes in the movie and explaining why they are funny. i think i should put a disclaimer stating something to the effect of "in the end; humor is a descriptive thing and there is no absolute truth when it comes to what is funny and what is not funny" my question is; is such a disclaimer needed and so where would it fit best? i am thinking in the closing statements. what do you think?
