Scholarship / 'I wanted the Fans to scream my name' - why you deserve this scholarship [2]
SCHOLARSHIP INFO: This scholarship was designed for athletes. Discuss why you believe you deserve this scholarship 500 words or less.
I tried to put a twist to this essay. Stating that you can be an athlete by just participating in the sport. You dont have to be the best at it. i dont know if im making that point across PLEASE LEAD ME.
I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can't accept not trying.

I was 12 when I started playing sports. I dreamed of being this outstanding basketball player, this outstanding volleyball player just an outstanding famous athlete all because I wanted the Fans to scream my name I wanted to give my parents a reason to be proud. I always wondered what it would be like if everyone was rooting for me and on my side. So I tried to learn every possible sport I could put into my everyday schedule. Volleyball, Track, Weightlifting, Basketball, Tennis, and even Softball. Being encountered with these sports I soon realized they weren't all for me. I continued in Track and Weightlifting and I continued with ambition. I was never the "star" athlete but everyone knew I worked to my best ability. I practiced mornings and nights, I prayed for success in sports more than I prayed for my own health. I was a team worker. I didn't want to let my 4x4 team down or my 4x8 team down no matter what. I believe that a true athlete never gives up. Everyone isn't born with breaking record speed or, great jump shots. But everyone is born with the choices. To follow your talents or create your own. I created my own and didn't let iniquity of the world stop me. I believe I deserve this scholarship to bring a new aspect to athletes to encourage someone to not give up their dreams but to continue on. I did not continue for I was lead another route. But I know how it feels to be let down, or an discouraged athlete. My career goal is to major in broadcast journalism and become a sports editor. Still pursuing in the sports industry Javonni Hampton has a story to tell and with this money I may can start my plans today. Through hard work and determination.
