You have seen an advertisement for a weekend job as a local tour guide showing visitors around your city.
Write a letter of application to the tourism office. In the letter:
- give your reasons for wanting the job
- explain why you think you can do the job
- describe any relevant experience you have

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have just seen your advertisement for a weekend job as local tour guide. I feel I am right for this job as I have been always been interested in local history, cultural sites, famous scenery and even as a chid I have started to read many books about our glorious history. Your agency has a good reputation and it be my pleasure if I were part of it.

As you have already seen in the first section of this application, I have all qualifications relevant to this job and I have just received a diploma in Travel and Tourism. In addition, I used to work as a volunteer guide in tourist guides club of my university.

Due to all the above reason, I think I would done this work well. I am looking forward to your reply.
