Undergraduate / Thesis for a research paper on "breaking up the big banks" [2]

I am about to write a research paper on the pros and cons of breaking up the big banks, are the banks "Too big to fail" or should they be allowed to fail, and I need a suitable thesis statement, can some one help me or offer some suggestioins?
