Writing Feedback / IELTS TASK 1: GRaph/ consumption of fish and some different kinds of meat [2]

Please provide critical feedback grammar, content all things

Question 1:The graph below shows the consumption of fish and some different kinds of meat in a European country between 1979 and 2004. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparison where relevant.

Answer:
The line graph illustrates the consumption of fish and several types of meat in grams per capita per week in a European country over the period of 25 years from 1979 to 2004.

As can be seen, beef was the most popular kind of dish in initial years, whereas fish was the least popular dish. But, in subsequent years chicken became more common than any other kind of dish.

Overall, there was a gradual decrease in the number of grams of fish consumed by each person. In 1979, every person ate around 60 grams of fish, and this number fell to about 50 grams per capita by 2004. In comparison, there was a considerable reduction in the intake of lamb's meat over the given period. Starting at 50 grams per person, people consumed less and less amount of this type of meat as the years went by and amount showed a downward trend. The consumption of lamb's meat reached its peak at around 60 grams each person each week.

In contrast, the figures for chicken consumption rose steadily with an upward trend and peaked at 250 grams of intake per person on weekly basis. On the other hand, the figures for consumption of beef dropped sharply after initial fluctuations. In 1979, every person consumed 220 grams whereas by 2004, this number fell to approximately 125 grams per person per week.

Question 2: See the graph in picture 2 and explaing

Answer:

The bar chart shows the amount of money spent on consumer goods in five different countries of Europe.

As can be seen, Britain spent more money on all types of goods compared to the other three countries. Of the six items, consumers spent the most money on photographic film.

British people spent about 170 pounds sterling on photographic film. France was the second largest spender on three items namely photographic film, toys and CDs, while spending large part of its money on photographic film, around 165 pounds. French people spent lowest sum of money on remaining three items than any other country.

On the other hand, Italians spend significantly more money on toys than any other item, with spendings of just under 160 pounds, which was equal to France's. In contrast, Germany spent least amount on consumer goods. It had similar figures for all six items varying between 145 and 150 pounds.

Writing Feedback / "Teachers' role in the classroom"; IELTS [5]

I would suggest you to work on grammar and try to improve it.

Throughout their teaching, teachers become aware of weaknesses and strengths of a student.

I would also advise you do not try to make your writing too much complex.
Also you have overused the linkers.
Almost every sentence contains linker. Try to use referents more often than linkers. For example, this, they etc. In this way your writing will become interesting to read.

Writing Feedback / TOEFL Essay: How to define Happiness [2]

I have test in few days Please give detailed feedback.so that At least I should be able to avoid basic mistakes and maintain a good structure

Happiness is considered very important in life. Why is it difficult to define? What factors are important in achieving happiness?

Everyone wants to be happy in this world. While different people may define happiness in different ways, there are certain factors which are important to achieve happiness.

There is a wide variety of definitions of happiness. Some people describe it as the achievement of personal goals, whereas others define it as the acquisition of professional goals.

Some individuals feel happy when they have intimate relations with friends and family members, while others become happy when they buy a new car, a new house and similar luxury items. In other words, the latter group of people feels happy if it has a lot of wealth. Also, there is another group of people which derives happiness from spiritual wellbeing. Meaning that such people become satisfied and happy by indulging in spiritual activities. To illustrate this, xxx, an Australian singer, sings mystic songs. He once revealed on a TV channel that he becomes happy and feels closer to GOD when he does so. It is therefore evident that definition of happiness of happiness varies from person-to-person.

Certain factors can make people feel happier. Perhaps the most important of these is having intimate relations with family members. If all the members of a family are understanding and polite towards each other, life becomes happier and full of comfort. To illustrate this, in the USA, divorce rate is on the increase. The most obvious reason for this is that there is a lack of understanding between married couples. Another factor is having supporting friends. After family members friends are the most important people in a person's life. Friends are always expected to give support whenever needed. To enlighten this, I once needed to pay for the school fees but I didn't have enough money to do so. I remember that my friend raised money from the class students to pay for my fees. After that I always feel satisfied and happy as I am confident that my friends will be there to help whenever I need it. It is therefore apparent that that family and friends are contributing factors in our happiness.

In conclusion, I would like to restate that the views of people lie over a wide spectrum of area. Nonetheless, I do believe that everyone can achieve happiness if they have good relations with friends and the members of family.
