Letters / Immunology,Molecular Biology & Biochemistry; Motivation letter-Erasmus bioanalytics [7]
Hello Everyone,
I am writing my motivation letter for Erasmus. Could you please take a look at my letter? Don't hesitate to correct, cut or paste whatever you feel is needed. Thank you so much!!!
Dear Sir or Madam,
I'm applying to Erasmus program in Rome from May till July 2013. I'm a student of master's (post-bachelor) study programme Healthcare bioanalytics at the Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Kralove. I chose this branch of study because I'm interested in biology since grammar school, especially in the molecular basis of life and cells. During my bachalor study I was captivated by immunology, molecular biology and biochemistry. I wish to delve deeper into these subjects
Last year I passed the Final State Examination and I successfully defended the bachalor thesis called âSunitinib effects on endothelial expression of hemeoxygenase 1 in normotensive rats." My supervisor was Doc. PharmDr. Petr Nachtigal, Ph.D. Now I study the master's programee and I would like to follow it up with a PhD study. My ultimate goal is to become a researcher.
Since July 2012 I work at laboratory at the Department of Immunology and Gnotobiology, Institute of Microbiology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Novy Hradek. I'm so glad I'm given this opportunity, because I have learned a lot of new experiences and I can do some methods practically. I'm able to do a gel electrophoresis, Western blot, isolation of RNA, immunohistochemistry and I tried some others during my practices in hospitals.
I'm a member of Czech Immunological Society and I'm a supervisor of the Open Science III - a programm for high school students which is organised by Academy of Science of the Czech Republic.
I would like to take part in Erasmus because it is an excellent opportunity to improve my professional skills and to gain a lot of experiences. Also I would like to improve my language skills, meet new people and see the Rome, because it's my dream place.
I'm able to work alone or as a part of a team. I'm responsible, flexible and open-minded. I work hard and I like to learn new things.
Thank you for considering my application,
Yours sincerely,
Bc. Jana NovĂĄkovĂĄ
