Essays / How to manage flow of information in an essay [3]

Hi all,
I am looking for a tool or technique to help me manage the flow of information in my essay. As the essay has many pages and much information, I need to increase the visibility of information and flow in order to ensure that I am building up informaiton (requirements, recommendations, and solutions) in consistence with the problems, objectives and rationale which I established early in the essay; so that no conflict exists throughout the essay.
