Undergraduate / My dad matters to me. Stanford Supplement: What matters to you and why? [2]
Hey! I'm new to this site. This is my first draft. I'm a bit nervous about submitting this because it is about a "cliche" topic but I can't think of something that matters more to me. Should I change my topic? Any comments/insights are welcome.
The man who rushed to the pharmacy at 3AM when I felt pins piercing my ear, an inevitable side effect of the flu, matters to me. My dad matters to me. The woman who forwent her twenty six years of education, her "woman's rights", her law degree, to cook for, clean after and take care of me matters to me. My mom matters to me. The boy who carried me on his shoulders, who stayed up late nights watching re-runs of Full House, who took the blame for my actions, who tutored me in math and pokemon and yu-gi-oh, who walked home with me from school every day matters to me. My brother matters to me. The people who are constants in my life, my "rocks", who've doubled my happiness and halved my worries- they matter to me. My family matters to me.
