The first time I notice when I walked in the campus of Virginia Tech was the diversity of the student body. Virginia Tech is the place where students with different backgrounds work together for just one goal, to make a difference in the world. The diversity and unique perspective that each student brings to the campus community makes the place to unique. The variety of clubs and activities makes impossible not to feel welcome in the campus. I feel honor to be part a community where I see that can be a perfect fit not matter my interests there will always be a club with people that can make feel like I belong to the campus.
One of the things that I like the most about Virginia is the wide range of opportunities that the university gives to engineering students such as the abroad program. The global engineering program will give me the privilege to study in a foreign country while working in research projects with professionals in the field that will allow me to apply my knowledge by solving real life problems. Living in a foreign country will help me to develop a unique perspective of the world that would eventually help me to distinguish among other engineers. Finally, the hands on experience that the university gives to freshman engineers makes it perfect to develop my imagination and bring my ideas to live. I found this appealing since I will not only be learning concepts, but also I will be putting them in practice, something essential for Engineers. I truly believe that Virginia Tech is the perfect fit for me.
