Undergraduate / Need Help with application essay about my personal characteristics [11]

Hello,
I am working on an application essay about my personal characteristics. My idea is to use three objects that represent what i like to do and what that shows about my character. ex: apron - cooking - creativity. I would like some help/suggestions on how to begin.
