Undergraduate / What Luther King suggested in his quote? Critical thinking is a central goal of Jesuit education. [3]

Loyola Marymount Sup: Situation in which you used critical thinking

STATEMENT 2: Speaking about education, Dr. Martin Luther King once said, "The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education."

QUESTION 2: Critical thinking is a central goal of Jesuit education, and at LMU you'll be asked to think critically and intensively in every class. Dr. King suggests that critical thinking results in our ability to inform intelligence with character, and strengthen character with intelligence. Please talk about a situation that demanded critical thinking from you, and how your choices or decisions integrated intelligence and character.

DOES IT ANSWER THE PROMPT??

Learning a new language could be very challenging for some of the students. In addition, it could be very interesting for others. Learning English in these days is very interesting because of the technology. One of the most important things to mention is that, auto-correction software is a new invention that helps students to spell-well during their writing. Next, the more we are using the office to type our essays or any world process programs, the more of how we will forget how to spell a particular word. In addition, from a point of view I strongly believed that English should be standardized because of auto-correction software and logic. The technology use the most fantastic invention ever made to make our live much easier. Why we should not use them?

The world is in constant evolution and development because of the development we should upgrade our language roots to follow with the new era of auto correction. In addition, in the recent years we have noticed a delay in the development of English spelling. Thus, delay reflected badly in the student. For instance, I remember when I was a kid in grade five, I had a spelling quiz and I failed the quiz. Then, the teacher gave us top five popular miss-spelled words in English. In addition, I used to text a lot in grade five. For instance, one of the words is how to spell "you", and I spelled it "U". I Think, it would be better to change the spelling, and make it just u instead of you. Another example, our minds and intelligence is too powerful even if the spelling of a word is sinned our mind can read the word and understand it if the first and last letters are correct. For example, "tdoy I'am giong to the baech wtih my frineds and my famliy." This is not an issue for our mind I can still read the sentence and fully understand the meaning. Furthermore, knowing the spelling is not going to help us after school because English is mixed-up with a lot of skills. One of them is oral communication, as we grew up we will use our oral skills more often than writing. Thus, skill is highly recommended in the business filed.

Logic is the second important thing to mention. Furthermore logic is the basis of every human being and without logic becomes the human mind is incapable of understanding things. When we speak about English, we should know that this language made up from different languages in the world. For example, Arabic, Spanish, and French... etc. As a result of that, problems will be occurring more often because English does not follow any logic to spell a word. For example, the word "cat" as we pronounce the word we say "Kat" With K-sound on it. This example is one of many examples. Another example would be an interesting article about misspelled words wrote by Anne Trubek "Use your own words." According to Anne "Even the spelling of something as personal as name was inconsistent; there are six surviving instances of Shakespeare's signature and they are all spelled differently." Shakespeare was one of the greatest literary who put most of the rules of English language. If he cannot put logic to his name, how we can understand our language well!

To Sum up, development and logic is our magic trick to success in this life. Technology and programs existence, to make life easier and speed up the efficiency to produce more in the education filed. The world is evolving with the world of man should evolve. Thus, development will move our language up to a new level of performance.
