Essays / Position Paper: Does it need to have only two sides? [2]

We were asked to write a position paper in our class regarding our position on the interpretation of an issue. I found out that there are many independent interpretations in regard to it and I can't summarize them in just two distinct sides. I plan to consider each interpretation as a side.

Can a position paper present more than two sides of an issue?
