Undergraduate / We make our happy endings [2]

Successful students at Johns Hopkins make the biggest impact by collaborating with others, including peers, mentors, and professors. Talk about a time, in or outside the classroom, when you worked with others and what you learned from the experience.

we believed in our project

Amid the empty room, all we could really remember was our tiredness, hunger and the countless hours, we spent working on the project. the fair was over and we didn't catch it. Sad ending, isn't it?

We never thought that we can compete in any prestigious competition in our first year in high school, we heard it many times "freshmen don't win" but we believed in our project, this faith derived us to apply for the competition. We spent two months traveling on unpaved roads and returning back to school, daily, but we didn't feel tired because our passion was pushing us to continue. Through these months I began to see things from another perspective, learned to control my body, whatever I did, there were more to give, a man with endless power, indeed. However, we didn't have the experience, or the support but we made an oath to continue together. The exhibition was after a month from then when the exams schedule was hanged; we were shocked to know that the exhibition was on our physics exam. We tried to mail the ministry but they didn't respond. Only one way seemed available, finishing the exam before its time to catch the fair.

A sophisticated problem faced us, question number thirty-two, I still remember it! We finished the exam and ran, ran faster than anything to catch the bus. The road seemed familiar but longer than usual. Sorry, gentlemen but the route is closed because of an accident and we have to change our path. We arrived to find that the fair was over, but there was only one man still reviewing the posters, we told him our story, he agreed to review our project, there was no place on the walls, so we had to hang the poster in turns while presenting. He thanked us and left. We stayed to see the nominations, they were announcing the winners but I didn't care, I fall asleep. Waked up by my two peers, Abdelrahman it's our names, we won! Shockingly, we went to take the medals, the man who was giving the prizes was the same man who judged us, we were surprised that this man was the head judge and he was reviewing the first projects when we rushed in. it was our first competition, then we conquered the rest. That day always remind me to never lose hope because hard work always pays off. Yes, this was my great ending.
