In my opinion, the successful networking is not about the numbers of people i know, but being able to use those relation for mutual benefit, I always believe by highlighting my strengths made me stood up from the crowd. I proudly can say networking helps me up to this point. My networking are diverse, however the majority comes from creative industry, marketing and business practitioner.
It began to gain a trust and made a good impression, when I was an intern on Fortune Indonesia communication consultant. It was my first time I met Mr XXXX as a business director. At that moment, my company was doing a project that required me to help the team to do market research and analysed it to make a communication strategy. By pushing my effort, he was impressed by how passionate I was toward this project. After met his expectation, I gained his trust, he became a bridge to many things and I grew my networking even bigger, from being a part of ministry of tourism handbook's project of media placement, join as campaign analyst on presidential election in 2015. Until I got a chance to participate of Leadership training held by Persatuan Periklanan Indonesia.
Furthermore, my networking skills help me to grow the business on XXXX Indonesia. In my first month on my position as Relationship Manager, we just build a retail business model. My category had some trouble to acquiring XXXX Indonesia, where this brand is very potential on another e-commerce. I took initiative to use my network to approach them, cause luckily one of the brand manager is my acquaintance, I try to impress him by persuade the key benefits what my company have and also the benefit that his brand will get, as the result he agreed to joined on XXXX. In 3 months since Softex Indonesia join, I successfully grow the brand and increase the sales volume to 1 billions a month, with average 10% of margin. Currently, I'm expanding my networking by using social media. Since the data shown a mom buying behaviour are more powerful, if they are already loyal to the brand, so I took a lead to making a digital mom community on Shopee, by making the good concept, great content in the right channel, we already gain 700 numbers of likes on the first week of soft launch.
If I been selected as an awardee, with my ability to build and maintenance a good relationship I hope I can leverage my networking to international scale, cause i believe many of Indonesia's potential has not been exposed yet, I convince that I able to build a fruitful relation on business to make a positive impact in future.
