Undergraduate / My mother and my close friend Cedrica ; The Most Influential person in my life [5]
Memories last for a life time. There are memories which are nightmares and some which are enjoyable. Each person makes different mistakes and gets different experiences in his life. however, each of us has one person who change our lives. My mother is the most important person who always supported me and gave me good advice.
I am the second of three children. My parents are married for 19 years and being in a christian home it helps to bind the family together. there were conflicts brought up on several occassions and with prayer it helped to bring us through.
For five years I was living a horrible life in High School. From the day i laid foot on the School's grounds' the first thing that happened was discrimination. Not knowing that having a relative at school made it worst i went into a world of nightmare. Principal, to teachers to friends were becoming more and more unkind, but i managed to hold on. I later developed low - self esteem. I tried many routes trying to solve the problem. Ignorance, dropping friends, keeping to my own space and getting involved in extra curricular activities helped, but - for a short while. Many times I felt like i could take it no longer and felt like giving up not to mention one day I was so broken down that I ran crying to my mother and revealing all issues that were never told before. Angry but lighthearted, I felt better. She told me what to do and I gladly accepted it. She always ensure that i was coping with all the problems. Two things that she encouraged me are if you study people you would never graduate and never give up... never ever give up. From that day I consider her as my role model and know she is always there for me. My senior year At Denbigh starting off on the same pattern but with God's help i will survive, finish up my studying and move on to higher learning. With her help I can walk proud as a black man, and for this i am thankful.
PLease can u make the necessary corrections again thank you
