MOTIVATION LETTER

While searching for master programs, I came across the International Master of Science in Rural Development (IMRD) which completely met my expectations and needs for my future career. Unfortunately, I was not succeeded in finding relevant master programs to study rural development related courses in my country, but I was observing increase of the necessity for highly qualified specialists to support rural development, agricultural economics and biosciences processes. Therefore, I strongly believe that after finishing IMRD master course I will obtain essential knowledge and skills to become a rural development professional and bring positive changes within this field.

In spite of being a young specialist, I have already had a chance to work for international organizations, learn basics of rural development, agricultural economics and biosciences, as well as observe implementation processes in the field. Currently, I take pride in being employed at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations as a Project Assistant and widen my horizons in the sphere of agricultural and food policy analysis. However, I need to master new skills and gain the most recent knowledge to work as rural development professional that is one of the most challenging and interesting jobs for me.

Regarding my personality, I consider to be a highly motivated and goal-oriented candidate. Additionally, I have been able to master analytical thinking, communication and leadership abilities during my work experience. However, I need to master new skills and gain the most recent knowledge in tourism management field that is one of the most challenging and interesting jobs for me. Consequently, I found European Master in Tourism Management greatly suitable to achieve the goals set.

Solving socio-economic, natural resource and agricultural challenges in rural communities are essentials for IMRD course and I am eager to get in-depth knowledge within this field. I find the curriculum of the program properly and comprehensively organized. The courses are related to the fields I have been working in and want to continue in the future. One of the main elements that distinguishes IMRD program from others is the fact that it takes place in three totally different countries of the Europe, that provides us with field trips which will enable to observe three diverse tourism experiences. With enriched knowledge and upgraded skills, I will be able to develop rural development related projects and manage their successful implementation in mountainous Tajikistan and not only. Moreover, the program planned in different universities every semester provides a great opportunity to learn from experienced teachers, researchers and practitioners Therefore, I found IMRD master course greatly suitable to achieve the goals set.
