Undergraduate / "Spanish is my passioin" - undergraduate [3]
Spanish has always been my passion. I just part of me having a goal in my mind is what makes me stronger every day the past. I remember when I was 5th grade I had a hard time understanding English since I only spoke Spanish. After studying in California for last 8 years, eventually I am able to adapt to the new culture, too.
Spanish was the subject that fascinated me the most. I remember when I was in High School my teacher was great I loved her class, it was really interesting discovering the beauty of this language, that was greatest influence of my entire education. She worked with me as much as he could in order to satisfy my hunger for Spanish. Every exam that I took, it would pleasure me because I loved Spanish dearly. I was involved in clubs such as Spanish club and also and Mexican dance I just loved everything that has to do with Spanish.
Working as a teacher assistant in elementary and Jr. High helped me a lot to discover my emotions as a teacher. In 2007 when I applied for the Mini-Corp program I was so happy because I never thought that I was going to invited to be part of the program that was one of my best experience. I still remember the first day of work I didn't know what I was doing for a while, I was so nervous, but I got through it and found out I enjoy teaching. I was so nervous and happy at the same time because I knew that was going to be one of my best experiences in my life. In 2008 I got involved in another program call Cal-Soap; it was design to tutor all those children's that were below basic academic standards, for me I was more than just helping them, it was like helping them to build their future. Tutoring children after school helped me more committed in my goals and majors. The knowledge that I gained from this programs help me both physically and mentally but the most important is the gained support me to be ready risk my goal in the University.
My experiences have taught me that "Spanish" will provide me with the motivation and communication skills I need to meet my goals. I was working as a teaching assistant in elementary and middle school and there is where I reaffirmed my passion for the subject. I am so lucky to be here in this country where I would develop my passion for Spanish. Having the opportunity to be involved in two cultures helped me to compare the fundamental differences and seminaries in two beautiful languages. Teaching different language has a great impact on our lives, though we may not realize it, and I feel that it is path where I can make the biggest difference in the world today.
