Scholarship / KGSP: STUDY PLAN FOR CHILD AND FAMILY STUDIES [2]
LANGUAGE STUDY PLAN: o Study plans to improve Korean/English language ability required for taking a degree course before and after you come to Korea.
Before:
Italian education provides English language instruction at elementary, middle and high school levels thus allowing Italian students to be able to reach a level above or equal to the basic level. My current level corresponds to a B1/B2 in language comprehension and speaking.
My study of the Korean language preceded my arrival in South Korea.
It is already about six months since I started learning Korean. At first it was a superficial self-taught study using teaching videos, KPOP, apps like duolingo and eggbun because my intentions were to visit the country but when I decided I wanted to study in South Korea I took the study more seriously. I started studying in grammar books such as "TOPIK 1 essential grammar" and "Korean for Italians" from hoepli.
Over time, I realized that I needed more interactive lessons to improve pronunciation, so I took classes through Online King Sejong Institute (iksi.or.kr ) which allowed me to deepen my study leading me to complete Beginner 1 and Beginner 2 level.
After:
If I am fortunate to be selected for the GKSP, I plan to reach or exceed TOPIK 4 by the end of my language study year.
I am aware that my program classes are in Korean so I will do my best to learn as much as possible before and during university classes.
I plan to take part in as many academic events as possible by making my language skills in English and Italian available so that I can help international students but also practice my language and pronunciation.
Being among other things an avid reader, I count on being able to improve myself by reading texts in Korean which, besides improving my language skills, allow me to understand more about the culture and traditions of this fascinating country.
One essay per thread.
