Rensponse:-I believe that building a strong network is crucial for professional success, regardless of the career that one is from. From my personal experience as I was a member of TAMSA MUHAS from my first year to my fifth year I was able to attend various meetings that were held around the university campus that allowed me to connect with various people. I have also been able to meet some of the doctors and public health official in the medical field and I was able to learn about public health specialities from them.
During my years in university, I was also in rotaract club in Muhimbili whereby we led various workshops such as screening the community of diabetes and hypertension, also conducted programmes that encourages hand washing and sanitation practices among my community
In October 2022, I was able to attend the East African Public health palliative care congress, and I was in the ushering committee where I welcomed the keynote speakers of the day to their designated seats and I was able to learn from them cornering the palliative care and benefits and disadvantages of palliative care
Furthermore I was able to attend various conference which were held such as the 11th scientific conference held on June 2023 and the 12th scientific conference held on June 2024 ,in the conference I was privileged to meet likeminded people especially medical students from various universities and I was able to learn on diverse knowledge on medical field from them . I also had a privilege to get mentors that assisted me throughout my undergraduate years from them
To sum up, I will be more than glad to participate in any kind of event in collaboration with the Chevening alumni as it will be a great opportunity for me to expand my network and bring good impact to both Tanzania and the UK through discussion of global issues.
