Undergraduate / How well I know the applicant - Davidson Peer Recommendation Essay [2]
Hi! My friend recently asked me to write her peer recommendation letter for her application to Davidson. I was wondering if someone could look it over and let me know what they thought. I'm least confident in the "weakness" portion, and some of my endings. Thank you so much!
How long and how well have you known the applicant? Please give information about opportunities you have had to work with or observe the applicant.I have known ----- since Freshman year of high school. I first heard of her through a mutual friend, someone who constantly spoke of her humor and optimism. When I was added to a group chat with her, she was immediately vibrant and open, taking the time to welcome me into the group. We have gotten much closer since then, she is no longer a faceless number in my phone, but one of my closest friends. Although I haven't had many classes with her, we were on the debate team together, and have been in several clubs together. We've explored cities together, cracked our way out of many escape rooms, and genuinely wondered if we were going to die from laughing so hard, on way too many occasions. I've seen --- grow into one of the most inspiring and wonderful people I know, and I know she'll be an incredible addition to Davidson's campus if she is accepted.
