Networks for positive impact - Chevening [2]
Hello Everyone, Below You Will Find My Essay of Networking For Chevening Essay. Your Feedback Will Be Appreciated. ThanksThroughout my career, my networking journey has been characterized by diverse experiences, each contributing significantly to my personal and professional growth. A pivotal moment occurred in 2009 when I pioneered a student forum at my school, utilizing free hosting and a domain name. This innovative initiative not only facilitated new connections among students across different classes but also enabled us to successfully collaborate with our computer sciences teacher to organize a prominent event on computer programs in 2010. The event garnered acclaim, even capturing the attention of the governor of our city, who commended our efforts.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I actively participated in city-wide sports events, where my role as team captain allowed me to lead my team to commendable achievements. Transitioning into college life in 2015 at the city's College of Medicine, I expanded my network significantly, fostering relationships with peers and medical professionals. This network proved instrumental in organizing health campaigns during social festivals in Karbala, where I provided basic medical assistance under supervision.
In 2017, faced with the challenge of purchasing a specialized phone unavailable locally, I turned to online platforms, making my first purchase from Amazon with guidance from a newfound Facebook friend, Ameer. This positive experience spurred me to co-found a business venture with friends Abdullah and Mustafa, facilitating the shipment of goods from the United States to Iraq. Through this endeavor, I cultivated relationships with local agents and traders, streamlining logistics and enhancing customer satisfaction across various Iraqi cities, including Dohuk, Mosul, Sulaymaniyah, and Basra.
Beyond entrepreneurship, my involvement with the Al-Faw Zakho political party has been pivotal, driven by a deep-seated aspiration to effect meaningful change in my country. This engagement not only allowed me to forge bonds with influential leaders and governmental figures but also enabled me to advocate for societal improvements and channel community concerns to decision-makers.
Currently employed at Al-Manathera Hospital, I was honored to be nominated as the doctors' representative, leveraging my network to support colleagues in need. When a fellow physician faced assault by a hospital staff member, I orchestrated a crucial meeting with the president of the appeal court, Ahmed Sudi, to seek legal redress. Mr. Sudi's collaboration was instrumental in ensuring justice prevailed and discouraging future misconduct within the hospital.
In summary, my professional journey has been shaped by a commitment to leveraging networks for positive impact. From pioneering digital platforms and fostering educational events to spearheading entrepreneurial ventures and advocating for systemic change, each experience has enriched my ability to build meaningful connections and drive tangible outcomes. I look forward to sharing my experiences with the Chevening Community, eager to learn and expand my network further.
