The line graphs below show the subscriptions to mobile and fixed phone lines in four different countries between 2005 and 2015.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The graphs illustrate four distinct nations' mobile and fixed telephone subscriptions from the period of 2005 to 2015.
Overall, it can be observed that the number of mobile phone subscribers per hundred people underwent considerable increases throughout the timeframe. In contrast, that of fixed phone lines stayed relatively stable for the majority of the period.
Commencing at just over 100 subscribers in 2005, the UK saw a gradual uptick in mobile services users, reaching about 125 registrants by 2015. The Uruguayan and Indian markets also witnessed significant increases in users by the end of the period, going from approximately 40 and less than 10 subscribers to almost 150 and about 75 customers respectively, the former even overtaking the British as the most active mobile userbase. Eritrea conversely did not see any major changes, its mobile phones user count staying below 20 per 100 throughout the spell.
Pertaining to fixed telephone subscriptions, the UK reigned supreme despite a slight, gradual decrease from 2005 to 2015, averaging over 50 active users. Uruguay initially had around 30 subscriptions per hundred people, which dipped slightly before increasing after 2012. Despite having had higher fixed phone subscriptions at first, India's user count was the same as Eritrea's by 2015, at about 5 per 100 inhabitants.
