Living in Colombia makes me try to solve different problems the society have. Solve the drug trafficking with different countries and with the population itself. I have asked if I want to consume different kinds of drugs while I am partying and also when I walking on the street. And really, this does not make me feel proud about my country, opposite it makes me feel bad about it. I could just easily buy whatever drug I want to, since marihuana to different pills. However, there are many people that does not consume there are also people that they do not care whose with them or if they can harm anyone, they just buy and consume it. Having this situation in a couple of times makes me think if there is some answer to this problem, or if there's nothing we can do about it. I think that there have to be answers to this problem because I don't want that in some years children and many teen agers like me, consumes drugs. It is so easy to get them that everyone could have access to buy, which is definitely bad for a society.
There should be some issues that the government must do to stop the drug trafficking, maybe legalize some drugs. Why not? Many people say that legalizing would be a mistake, but I don't think so because it would happen the same that happened with alcohol when they legalized it in different countries. I have had different argues about legalizing drug, but for me, right now, it is the only way to help our society to become a better one. Maybe, there are different things that can be done to help, but I would need some background of how the new social processes are going to be affected by the legalization of drugs. We would have to know in advance, how the impacts on individuals, social and international groups are going to react to this. Economically, I think it would be good because the Colombian drugs are one of the most asked all around the globe so selling them to countries like Netherlands would raise the GDP (Gross Domestic Product), but also we need to know how to move in the world of business to really make this regulation work. We could not sell drugs to whomsoever we can, because then we are going to not a Colombian society problem but a world society problem. We need to be careful about what we are doing because it is much better to have a conscious society that to raise our GDP.
