Undergraduate / Pre-Med: Transfer my study to dentistry and change of major [6]
Thank You for all your advises, i thought it over and started a new essay. It is not complete, but please tell me what you think so far and please feel free to make corrections.
Ever since my junior year in high school, I had envisioned to become a dentist. Aside from the encouragement given by my family and friends, I realized that I had a longing to expand the knowledge and little training acquired during my volunteer work over the summers.( i haven't completed this paragraph yet!)
Unfortunately, after my high school graduation I was faced with hard financial problems that had forced me to attend the nearest college, University Quisqueya, and choose from the majors it had to offer. This has not, in any way, deterred me from pursuing my professional goals.( an other incomplete paragraph)
My reasons for transferring are mostly academic. At Quisqueya I have studied with wonderful professors, and made good friends. However, I do have non-academics reasons for wanting to attend Howard. I am fascinated with how each student is socially involved both on and off campus, the diverse possibilities of extracurricular activities, and most of all I am looking forward to experience other environments that are not as similar to my own.
