Hi Kevin, I tried to create a new thread for my 3rd and last essay for ISB, but I am unable to create a new thread. Could you please help me to put the below essay on a new thread.

Getting into IIT in India is quite challenging and I am trying to convey that I have been active in sports and still was able to make it to IIT, and also succeeded in personal investment.

To ISB, I will bring a results oriented person with a dynamic personality and with full of energy for life. I have always strived for equal importance to different aspects of my life regardless of whether it is academic, professional, sports, or personal family life and excelled in each field through disciplined time management practices.

I have managed to climb the corporate ladder, pursue my extra curricular activities, and keep the equilibrium maintained of the family life. In spite of my hectic travel schedule, I managed to build my own club and won Michigan T-20 Cricket Leagues without hindering the family life balance. Team-work effort between myself and my wife provides adequate time for playing, reading bed time stories to my sons, and taking them to music, math, and swimming classes.

Cricket taught me the importance of Team Work, which I follow not only in the field but also at the work place. For example, I helped my teams sail through the rough rapids by taking the Keeper's job when we lost the keeper of our team and by volunteering to take the additional role of Onsite Program Manager during the transition period of the Nationwide account to IBM.

In addition to my achievements referenced above, I realized the importance and benefits of personal investments. I researched the investment opportunities including associated risks before starting my initial investment in capital and real estate markets. I have been significantly successful by converting an investment of INR xx lakhs into xxx lakhs.

My achievements prove that I have ability to succeed and there is no doubt in my mind that not only I will be successful at ISB, but also my professional and sports experience in setting up Cricket Clubs and organizing cricket leagues will be of great help to my classmates and peers at ISB.

What are your short term and long term goals? How will the ISB help you achieve the same? (300 words max)

My short term goal is to enhance my knowledge in various functions like Finance, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and Operations and connect the various dots to analyze how each of them impact each other to make any organization successful. I plan to achieve my short term goal by learning through an established curriculum, from peers and faculty who are already real life consultants to leading companies. This way I will be able to shorten my learning cycle. I believe that ISB will help me in achieving my short term goal through interaction with peers in formal and informal channels, established curriculum and world class faculty.

Having worked on the processes side in various industries, such as Insurance, Banking, Healthcare, Auto, Communication and Entertainment, Industrial domain, and Insurance brokerage I would also take the opportunity at ISB to learn about specific industry in detail.

My long term goal is to one day achieve the highest position, in a company, so as to complete the full circle of the professional life cycle. In my long term goal, I visualize myself to be making business generating decisions at institution-wide level and drafting Corporate and Business Strategies, critical towards the success of any organization. These decisions should reflect a successful commercial model and high integrity in my own company.

During my ISB stint I will learn from real life examples about setting up companies, case studies on marketing and finance, and various phases of a company. I will be able to completely focus one year in learning not only through books and articles, but also discuss with people who have helped other companies implement them. At ISB, I will also form professional and personal network for life, and will also know where to look for information and how to interpret it when required.

If ISB were to admit one more student, I would be a very strong candidate because of the values and experience I would bring to the class of 2012.

Since my childhood, I have been fortunate enough to have experienced many successes. I was provided with the circumstances that made it possible for me to keep single-minded focus, and I excelled in whatever I set my eyes on. My interest in science made me work hard to pursue engineering at IIT. My passion, team spirit, and leadership abilities and sound physical training enabled me to lead the University Cricket team win many national level tournaments.

Early on in my career, I started connecting technology to end users. I focused on the big picture while innovating in technology. This helped me to work through the ranks in the IT industry and become the youngest member of the global core team of 30 Transition Managers in IBM (Strength 85,000 people) to support customers in the North America region.

I have extensive international work experience in India, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States spanning across industries as Insurance, Healthcare, Banking, Auto, Industrial, and Media.

My passion for cricket and organizing capabilities led me to establish my Cricket Club in Michigan, and later play in Michigan cricket leagues. I realized there was a need for dedicated pitches, cricket fields, capturing and nurturing talent and creating awareness. I promoted cricket to Michigan State Officials for support and Corporate to arrange finances and professionalize the club, in the process adding to my dynamic network.
