Undergraduate / UC PROMPT 1 : "The expectations of my parents" [2]

Is this in response to the prompt about your intended major? Or influential people in your life? Also you seem to be putting yourself down a lot in this essay, "perhaps my academic endeavors could, with a stroke of luck, land me in a reputable university." I suggest focusing more on yourself, the entire essay seems to be about your parents and how you felt you disappointed them, when you should be focusing on your achievements. Good luck!!
