Virtually all of Stanford's undergraduates live on campus. Write a note to your future roommate that reveals something about you or that will help your roommate - and us - know you better.

Dear future roommate,

Hopefully you're not deaf, because first thing you should about me know is that I'm a talker. It's in the blood. I'm known to talk to people I just met, as if I've known them for longer; it helps me get well-acquanted with them. I'll probably decorate our room with a couple of puertorican flags. My parents, who I'll miss dearly, passed down this skill to me. My family is the type that'll always be cracking jokes and warming you up with a smile. The brunt of my homesickness though will come from being away from my twin younger brothers. Almost like triplets, our silly antics at home would lighten up the place. In due time, hopefully you can help me with my homesickness and I'll treat you like one of them. I might play a tune on the keyboard and beat box once in a while, and you'll be free to sing or rap along with it. You can pull out my Yu-Gi-Oh cards whenever you want; I'll be more than happy to show you defeat. If you're ever feeling down, I'll be willing to practice my psychiatric skills on you. But don't think I'm all smiles. I'm sure I'll be getting care packages from home, and if you happen to want some of what they brought for me, you're going to have to wrestle me for it. I'm not afraid of pinning a "brother".
