"create new memories and friendships" - BU, What To Accomplish as Undergraduate! [2]
To be honest I hate it, but I've written so many already.. I don't know what to do. It does not seem finished :s
Going to university means more than just obtaining a great level of education to me. It is perhaps the biggest chance an individual has to learn about themselves, be certain of who they really are and what they want to achieve in life.
I cannot assure that the goals I have set for me now will be the same in ten years, probably not. But what I am certain of is that I want to make as much a difference to society as I can. Some individuals achieve this with fame, others with power, I believe I can help society by giving the most of me and my knowledge, Boston university is the perfect way to achieve this. As an undergraduate I am prepared to face multiple difficulties, because as I have learnt already that comes together with life, but by setting my mind to it I know I can overcome obstacles. Working hard, being motivated and dedicated will always come first for me, as well as incrementing my experience when it comes to leadership learning opportunities.
Throughout my whole school life I have probably attended around nine different schools, in five different countries. Therefore I consider myself very acquainted with diversity of culture, and Boston university happens to be one of the most open minded and varying institutions known, which is why I can almost be sure that I would most likely fit in perfectly. I also plan to make the most of all the academic resources supplied by the university such as tutoring and peer support, which gives the opportunity to associate with "Language Link" which enables students to practice and learn known or foreign languages, I believe this could be a great opportunity for me since I have always appreciated the value of other tongues and speak three different ones myself. I also find the career resources that the university provides as an excellent way to get closer to my future aspiration job.
As mentioned before, academic is not all that I am interested in when applying for an undergraduate program, but also all the extracurricular activities and the wonderful life on campus that Boston university offers. It will be a whole new experience for me to exceed myself as an individual, create new memories and friendships that will hopefully linger for a very long time. Since this particular institution has such grown student body I am sure I can accomplish this with no difficulty giving me and anybody else on campus the opportunity to expose ourselves to new cultures, nationalities, and individuals that will first be strangers but with time loyal companions and successful colleagues.
