I believe this paragraph is not necessary because you have discussed them in previous paragraphs, though passively. You can eliminate that.

Very impressive and a page-turner.

Writing Feedback / Do you believe the use of Internet in formal education is a good idea? - IELTS Task 2 [5]

i totally agree with lippea. Your points do not show a strong argument. You should compare and contrast between the two options so a layman can tell the difference. I like the write-up...just need improvement. Regards

This is my SOP for M.sc in Computing. I'm seeking scholarship and was requested to write an essay of <=600 words on
1. Why i want to study abroad.
2. Why i choose the course as my first choice
3. How it will benefit my career and personal development.
Please proofread and make comments/corrections where necessary. This is adapted from various sources and I'm open to scrutiny. Thank you for the effort.

Knowledge is power but the application of knowledge is what brings development to a community, city, or country. The application of the knowledge i will acquire in my master's programme to the information technology sector of the Nigeria economy has influenced my decision to pursue my Master's in Computing through the xxxxx scholarship scheme.

Studying overseas will present me the opportunity to be exposed to a world-class practical learning experience, excellent educational facilities including state-of-the-art laboratory and the culture and value of the country. Apart from learning the theories and principles in the various courses, I would be able to gain hands-on experience and develop expertise in Computing, proffer best solutions to various problems in Information Technology and create numerous industrial software. Having a result-oriented personality, the experience will help me to improve my performance in practical approaches to Information Technology problems and widen my knowledge base.

Over the past, I have demonstrated a unique ability to learn and apply technical information quickly. This is due to my high level of curiousity in technical matters especially information technology, hence my decision to acquire a Master's in Computing. This skill helped me greatly in my degree and also during the internship experience I obtained in the I.T department of xxxxx company. During the internship, I was able to work with I.T professionals and broaden my practical-knowledge base in hardware, software and networking. Consequently, there was an improvement in my troubleshooting and analytical skills as well as my ability to work excellently under pressure.

The drive towards technological advancement in the world has brought about immense opportunities to develop new technologies in the field of Information Technology. It is this challenging and dynamic environment to which I intend to contribute by evolving optimal solutions to the various problems that plague Information Technology sector in Nigeria. Thus, my goal is a career in I.T with a major in Computing wherein I can apply my quick learning skills to offer best solutions to industries in Nigeria. To achieve my career goals, I need to learn much more about current development and technologies in Computing as well as acquire hands-on experience of these technologies. A Master's programme in Computing will provide of with the theoretical understanding, an in-depth knowledge of practical approaches in developing solutions and also develop expertise in Computing.

As a Computer Engineering graduate from a Nigerian university, I have gained theoretical knowledge of Information Technology but I wish to further my studies in the field and gain practical experience overseas which will help to build my career portfolio and make me one of the Nigerian professional I.T specialist. I desire to provide professional and optimal solutions to industries by becoming equipped with the necessary skills neede to add value and contribute positively, alongside with other I.T specialist to the further development of the sector in Nigeria.

Studying abroad is an exciting prospect for me that will give me the opportunity to learn in an excellent academic institution and also learn the culture and value of the people thereby improving my interpersonal skills in new environment.

I strongly value the opportunity to study abroad because I believe firmly that it will mold me into a leader in Information Technology through my exposure to the best educators and professionals in the field.

I look forward to making the best use of the opportunities offered to me by the xxxxxx scholarship scheme.
