Graduate / "The Petroleum Industry is the most prospective" - SOP for MS Petroleum Geoscience [2]
Here is my SOP. Please let me know if its even acceptable :p im not so sure about it..this is the first time i wrote anything like this and i'm still confused whether to submit it to university or not :s please let me know of of any mistakes in it and all kinda suggestions are welcome :) please help me out.

As the world of today strives to find new avenues of power resources, petroleum industry seems to be the most prospective one thus I chose petroleum geosciences as field to pursuit a career of my choice. Till now I have been working to acquire this dream. By taking a BS degree in Applied Geology and that to live up my dream, the last step is to complete my postgraduate studies in petroleum geology. I've always loved the feel of working in field and I think that can be a major contributor to the field by applying the skills I will acquire studying in this well-oriented geosciences programme offered by University of London.
As an undergraduate, I did my Bachelors of Science in Geology from the University of the Punjab in Pakistan. It was a four year long honors program in which I was able to explore the different fields in geology. Undergraduate study in geology gave me exposure to entire petroleum geology processes. I got mainly interested in tectonics system, oil and gas exploration and geophysical methods to explore hydrocarbons.
The last year of undergraduate studies requires the completion of thesis work. I was chosen to do research work on the Lithostructural mapping of the Khewra area, with a special emphasis on the industrial evaluation of Jutana Dolomite.
The time I spent studying in Institute of Geology at University of Punjab gave me confidence of working in a group of students for the field work and also during classroom presentations and other laboratory tasks. Apart from academics, I have been a part of various co-curricular activities including sports and debate contests. The time spent at University gave me the spirit to face competition and strength to face challenges in future.
My goal is to earn a Masters Degree in Petroleum Geosciences. The course of study offered at University of London best suit my goal. In my belief, I think that studying in University of London would give me the key opportunity to attain the best of what I want to achieve out of my career.
My ultimate aim is to work in the petroleum industry in my home country. Pakistan is a developing country which needs the young and fresh intellectual to help in making the economy strong and stable. I wish to give back to my country, and the first step from now onwards would be to acquire all the skills and Knowledge University of London has to offer.
