Anything Else to write for the last body paragraph and conclusion?
Do you know what the meaning is for an American Dream or what a community is? Some people may or may not answer this question directly but an American Dream may mean having a happy and a successful life or becoming the person that you wanted to become when you were little. Then a community would mean people living together in one place being comfortable around one another. Our Sprawling, Super-size Utopia by David Brooks, is about people everywhere in the world is moving to Suburbia America. In his story, the neighborhoods would look exactly the same but there would be much more than having the same things. I do not agree with the writer that the "American Dream" is a modern suburbia. As the writer argues in his story, I think that Suburban America is not an ideal community.
May be Suburban America, is not a right place for the people to live or move into. David Brooks says, "Suburban America as a comfortable but somewhat vacuous realm of unreality: consumerist, wasteful, complacent, materialistic and self-absorbed" (188). In this quote, he states that Suburban America can be an amazing place you want to go but it will feel like you are day-dreaming. This makes me wonder if people living in America will be willing to go to Suburban America. Wouldn't the people feel stressed out or feel like it would be too much for them, walking through the neighborhood feeling like you have been through here before.
When entering Suburban America, would it make the people happy that they have made the right decision of moving into a new place. Brooks says, "We are having a hard time understanding the cultural implications of this new landscape because when it comes to suburbia, our imaginations are motionless" (185). This quote states that Suburban America may not let the people's imagination do anything but staying in one place. The people would not want to live in a place like Suburban America, when their imagination will be pointless. Beside it would have been better if the people had just gone with their original place that they had before living in Suburban America.
