Graduate / 'Quality' What can I contribute with my skills to other students of the MBA program? [2]
In the IT Enabled Services Industry, I have been working in international and multi-cultural teams. Although my work is technical in nature, it revolves around Service Level Agreements, Customer Satisfaction and Scorecards. The services we provide to our clients are based on ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) V3 foundation.
As a person, who has worked for financial institutions (the clients) and understands the role of IT in their business, I can give my fellow students an outlook on the critical role of IT in business.
In my current organization, Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), I am the Quality Management Representative (QMR) for my team. As the QMR, I am responsible for maintaining the Quality Standards followed by our organization in conjunction with the Standards followed by the client organization. As I represent my team in all internal and external audits, I have experienced creating various reports, Service Improvement Plans (SIP) and Balanced Scorecards (BSC).
I can highlight the necessity to adopt Quality Standards in organizations. My command on Microsoft Office tools and experience on various reports will positively help me and my peers in understanding and creating reports and presentations.
I believe that with my experience of working in a highly international and multi-cultural environment, I will be able to provide valuable insights on the work-culture of multinational corporations to my peers.
