Research Papers / Help regarding the nuclear arms race of the Cold War between US & USSR? [2]

I'm trying to research for an essay on nuclear deterrence in the cold war, specifically on the arms race between US and USSR, and I have been nudged towards a couple of questions by my professor, and so am trying to gain information on these things:

Were there any pacifism movements during the cold war?
Did citizens support the nuclear stockpiling?
Were they enthusiastic or apathetic to the arms race; why?
Was there any money to be made off the cold war? (ie profiteering as a motive)

These are the main things that I can't seem to find anything on. Perhaps my search terms are inadequate, but I've searched on Google Scholar and Academic Search Complete and can't find anything relevant at all. Can anyone help?

Graduate / 'Corporate in an IT Strategy' - MBA Admission in AGSM, Australia [4]

It looks strong to me. Well-directed intent, good history, good tie-in of your life path to the institution, well-written. I like that you mentioned your observation regarding technology while working with the fortune 500 companies; it shows your ability to critically evaluate your surroundings and work towards betterment.

Undergraduate / 'I had to work harder' - Undergrad Entry Essay [3]

The second paragraph is good. It's professional and grammatically correct, and gets the point across. The first paragraph is somewhat sloppy; it's too colloquial, and sounds very elementary: "school was a joke", "it would just be mind-numbing", "so I felt that if I already knew the material, why attempt to do the work... ...I would just dawdle most of the day".

I'd recommend cleaning up the first paragraph, to give it the kind of professional feel of the second. You don't want it to sound like you're just speaking casually with your buddies; you want to prove that you have what it takes to use proper elocution and form, especially in an admissions letter.
