Undergraduate / Sketching, painting, and drawing have become the vessels; UMCP;self-expression & why? [2]

The prompt is "other than fashion what mediums do you choose for self-expression and why?

My voice has long since found its home in the realm of art. Sketching, painting, and drawing have become the vessels that carry my perceptions into a physical representation which allows me to acknowledge my emotions, opinions, and characteristics. Of the three sketching has served me most loyally, it has been the pacifier of any overwhelming emotions, and the interpreter of any sudden epiphanies or thoughts. Painting, on the other hand, I could compare best to a spa. The long meticulous process of painting allows me to meditate and focus on a single item at hand, in contrast to the constant multitasking and busy life of a high school student who aims to succeed. By channeling my emotions into the brushstrokes of my tool while ruminating on the challenges of my past, present, and future allow me to impress said painting with my thoughts. Although the effect may not always be obvious to the viewer, every painting holds personal value and hidden connection to me. I find that no other method of self-expression allows me to stow away my thoughts into a visually appealing work of art.
