Hi everyone, please help me improve my essay writing. I am going to take an IELTS exam soon and would need a band score of 8 to get my PR and 7 to get my registration. I've been stock in getting IELTS of 6 and can't get any better. I'd be bless if someone can help me improve my essays. thank you.

Going overseas for university study is an exciting prospect for many people. But while it may offer some advantages, it is probably better to stay home because of the difficulties a student inevitably encounters living and studying in a different culture.To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? Give reasons for your answer.

There is no doubt that studying abroad offers exciting opportunity and experiences compared to studying locally. Although, some people believe that studying overseas has a lot of hardships and expenses as contrasted to local studies, I agree that the benefits will outweigh the negative effects of this. In this essay, I discuss the reasons why studying abroad is a better option.

There are variety of advantages studying abroad can offer. Firstly, it can offer wider range of courses which are not offered to ones own country. This way one can realize its choice of career and dream job. In addition, access to laboratories and other facilities may also be available to a student where it may not be accessible in their local university. Furthermore, the overseas student can also experience different types of culture and language which will give the person an edge to the rest of the local residents. With the said benefits, the student can have higher chances in getting the dream career it wishes.

Nevertheless, certain disadvantages can also be felt while studying abroad. Studying abroad is undoubtedly expensive considering the tuition fee, travel, accomodation and bills. Moreover, a person can experience culture shock and needs to adapt and adjust itself to change. Lastly, feeling of home sickness and away from the family can be an emotional torture for the student.

Indeed drawbacks of studying abroad can be noticed, these however are temporary in nature and can be remedied by the advancement of technology. The student can communicate over the phone to reduced homesickness and living away from the family can only take for a year or two. Adjustments only take a couple of months and the student could feel comfortable in the long run. It is expensive but investing some amount of money for a brighter future and a better knowledge which can last for years is worth sacrificing for.
